Bio:

A native of St. Paul who never mastered the midwestern skill of keeping thoughts to themselves, Bruise landed back in the cities after 15 years in CA, most of them in Santa Cruz. Years of swimming and cross-country skiing were getting old, and she was on the lookout for something new (the log-rolling class was filled). Inspired by her daughter, Frostbite skater RumbleBee (#16), she took a chance on derby to let her desire to f**k things up run wild and exercise the fast twitch muscles she absolutely does not have.

Likes:

• Open minds and hearts
• Whiskey sours with two cherries and a drizzle of Luxardo maraschino
• Kicking your ass (and 3rd graders, too!)

Dislikes:

• Rules
• People who have everything and don’t share while others go without
• Stepping in cat barf whilst half-awake
