All-Star Bootcamp

In conjunction with Jam Out With Your Clam Out: A Roller Derby Burlesque Spectacular on April 4th and the Minnesota RollerGirls All-Stars bout versus No Coast Derby Girls on April 5th, the Minnesota RollerGirls All-Stars are hosting a one-day All-Star Boot Camp on Sunday, April 6th, 2014. In this boot camp, you will learn tips and techniques for improving your edgework and juking, positional blocking, defensive partnerships and effective recycling in walls. You will also learn about the new ruleset from Umpire Strikes Back (MNRG Head Referee, WFTDA Officiating Education Program Instructor, WFTDA Games Officiating Manager) and Betsy Wrecksie (MNRG All-Star Program Head Coach, WFTDA Rules Theory Panel Member). You will be coached by and get to scrimmage with some of the best roller derby players in the Midwest. Come get your derby on with the Minnesota RollerGirls All-Stars!

  • COST FOR SKATERS: $40 in advance, $45 at the door
  • COST FOR OFF-SKATES OBSERVERS: $15 per day in advance, $20 at the door

ALL ON-SKATES ATTENDEES MUST:

  • Have primary health insurance
  • Have either WFTDA or USARS supplementary insurance
  • Be scrimmage-ready
  • Be able to pass the WFTDA minimum skills test
  • Be at least 18 years of age
