The Blocking Dead preview

Yes, it’s the second weekend of Halloween. With everyone’s favorite holiday of candy, gourds, and costumes mid-week, that means you get ONE MORE WEEKEND of mayhem before it’s all over.

Sounds like a good night for a Surly, some mini-donuts, and some full-contact roller derby at the Legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium, doesn’t it?

This weekend, the real tournament begins. The wins and losses begin to matter, as do the differences in score. The road to the Golden Skate begins this Saturday.

Dollys v Gardas

The third-place bout from April gets fought again. This time, it’s a different story; only two weeks ago, these two teams went to the top of the one-night Gilded Steak tournament and showed us a new side of them (well, two new sides to be clear). The Garda Belts and the Dagger Dolls are prepped for combat. Come see who gets the season’s first win.

Who’s new? Who’s going to bring their A-game? Read the team previews.

ABS v Rockits

The Atomic Bombshells v the Rockits. This is a rematch of the MNRG Golden Skate championship for the spring. In April, the ABS narrowly defeated the women in red for the Skate (115-102). However, the Rockits fell to the ABS by a much larger margin only two weeks ago. There’s payback in the air already.
